My sister who had a heart transplant last Friday is doing well, but having a hard time trying to sleep or rest. She doesn't call it pain, but "discomfort." She has a very high pain tolerance - I'm sure I would call it pain. The doctors are trying to help make her more comfortable, but she's had a couple of rough days and nights.
Will you pray with me that the discomfort will ease and allow her to relax and sleep so her body can heal?
All praise to God for bringing her this far.

How is everyone?

Outlaw Platoon. What a memoir. I'll admit, it starts off rather slow, but you get to know a number of the colorful characters in Parnell's team. Unlike other memoirs I've read, where side characters don't really exist, here you get to know several members of his team really, really well. Sabatke's hardcore, no-nonsense attitude, even amidst fire. The useless and pathetic leader of 2nd Platoon, Burley. The loyalty of everyone who's actually there to fight and take responsibility. Especially around 2/3 of the way through, it picks up intensely. Parnell is able to make a fire-fight happen in slow-motion, almost, so you can take in all the details he saw in a matter of seconds. Brilliant work. On to American Warrior, the memoir of Gary O'Neal. The army just discovered he signed up as his brother.
