I think I agree… I once heard a podcast where the guy went into the meaning of the word “religion”. He said it comes from the same root that gives us the word “ligament” and that “religion” is that which “holds together” like a ligament. Another word that fascinates me is “culture”; I think the root “cult” means “worship”. Every “culture” inherently worships something. I don’t think it’s possible to have a society that doesn’t worship something… I think the U.S. has a “culture” but no “religion” to keep us bound together. Yes, I feel like a prophet of doom many days. 😅
