Tomorrow Tsar-Martyr Lazar of Serbia is commemorated, who fell in battle defending his kingdom from invading Muslims. The veneration of soldiers and those who died in battle reminds me of the words of our Lord: "Greater love hath none than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."
