The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a good option if you're looking to buy a mid-priced mop and robot vacuum. It gives a great mopping experience but lacks the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.
In the course of testing, it was able to handle dust and dry oats on medium-pile carpet and pet hair on hard floors. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to map out your home.
iRobot Roomba s9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the top-rated robots. It has a lot of features and impressive cleaning power, such as a dirt compartment that is integrated into the charging base. This robot can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest automated schedules to ensure you have a hands-free experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can start the automatic cleaning functions at the touch of the button. You can choose a general clean which focuses on the elimination of larger pieces of debris like rice and cereal. Or you can select two detailed mappings to ensure that the entire home is cleaned thoroughly.
This vacuum works well on both floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It can pick up pet hair and also suck large items up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's not the best time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot says it will improve with the next models.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which concentrates on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a nice improvement over the hockey puck-like design of most robovacs, though we found it to be marginally better than circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with an advanced filtration system which blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. We like the claim but not enough to justify a premium price.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors that keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology to map the interior. It then cleans your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundaries so that the robot knows what areas require extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it comes to robots that combine vacuuming and mopping and mopping, the Roborock Q revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are as good as those found on more expensive models. And its mopping system is even better - its spinning pads clean your floors more effectively than the vibrating pads.
The only issue is that it doesn't have an additional rubber brush for deeper cleaning, but that's a small cost to pay if want to get one of the best robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank is larger than many of its competitors and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the maximum dirt level.
For the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than the high-powered settings, produce little noise, so you can work or watch TV without being distracted. If it encounters an object, such as a wall or piece of furniture, it gently bumps into it and then moves forward.
The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical garbage into the hidden bin, as well as washes and drys mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app is good at nagging you only when something requires attention, for example, the water tank being empty or a scheduled cleaning session being cancelled due to a stuffed dust bin.
You can also create or merge rooms to alter the way Q Revo manages your home. That's a handy feature for those who have multiple areas of your home with different flooring materials or if there's some clutter that must be cleaned out frequently, such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, picking up debris from carpets as well as hardwoods in its first run. It can even vacuum up wet spills however I would recommend wiping them dry with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot into.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a high-end robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum with a powerful suction to clean hard and carpet floors, as well as a rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also comes with self-cleaning bases that automatically empty and cleans the mop pads, ensuring that they remain them free of germs and ready to use again. It also has a sensor system that can detect obstacles better, allowing it to avoid falling on furniture and other objects.
The most notable improvement over the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its sleeker, modern design. This is due to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite big--it's over two feet high and deep and weighs nearly four pounds--the entire robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.
This version is also more efficient than the X1, as it charges faster and can handle a full cleaning of around 1,500 square feet on one charge. And it has a larger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris and is easier to empty when needed.
Finally, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app as well as an assistant voice that works offline, so you can control it even when you're not at home. It also has a smart routing function that allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a predetermined route.
The X2 Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested, due to its rotating mop pads that scrub away tough stains and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also outstanding, and it also increases suction when it detects a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It has a large, rechargeable battery that lasts up to seven days. The mopping feature of the robot is also extremely effective.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium robot vacuum and mop that comes with a host of convenience features that you aren't likely to find on robots of this price. It can build detailed floor maps, detect different types of flooring and is among the few to automatically wash and dry the mop pads. These are nice features but they also make the L10s more of a luxury category. This could make it more expensive than homeowners need.
Created to look like a modern floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish accented by mirror-plated silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper, which helps protect the vacuum and furniture from damage while moving through the home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button which is used as an on/off switch. The button will activate the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can shut it off and send it to its base station. The central control panel is an oblique menu that allows you to select cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will open up the settings menu in which you can tweak how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map your home. This creates a precise floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop efficiently without getting stuck in messy areas. The LIDAR also lets the robot vacuum to recognize and avoid obstacles which is a great feature for families with children or pets.
The L10s Ultra is an efficient vacuum cleaner, removing 98.4 percent of the debris we test on hard floors and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stains. Its mops are efficient, taking away 98.4 percent of debris from our tile, wood, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't quite as effective in removing sand from the floor or Quaker oats on carpet.
