Something Father Steven Freeman said one time has stuck with me and re-emerged in a variety of ways. He talked about how humans are the only creature that tries to be what it's not, that a dog is going to do dog things and that even when you're training it, it's doing dog things. It doesn't urinate in its sleeping space, so you you train it to expand its notion that the entire house is its sleeping space. Humans imagine things. And we believe lies. And we try to be things that we're not.
We have lust because we believe we can fulfill some kind of higher imaginary concept. We have imaginations about what that person must have meant when they said something and we hold it against them
. Every good and perfect gift comes from the Father, and everything that exists is from God. It's the things that don't exist, the lies from the demons, that lead us away from the good things of God.
